Frank Stallone is Sylvester Stallone’s little brother. He is four years younger. Both of them are actors with very creative personalities, but Frank is mostly known as a musician.
The Stallone brothers were born in the family of a hairdresser and an actress. Frank has developed an interest in music at a very young age. Later, he paid his own tuition by playing the guitar. Frank was inspired by Frank Sinatra.
He wrote many songs for numerous movies. For instance, he made the soundtrack for the 1983 movie “Staying Alive” with John Travolta. The song “Far from Over” was a hit song in the 1980s. In total, Frank released 10 music albums.
It was Frank who helped Slay to find a more or less normal job. Thanks to his little brother, Sylvester worker as a waiter in a popular club. Frank also paid for an expensive face operation. Without it, his brother would never been able to become an actor: half of his face was paralyzed from birth.
As you probably know, Sylvester Stallone came up with the idea to write a screenplay for “Rocky” after watching a boxing match. In part, Frank was one of the prototypes of a Rocky character alongside with Chuck Wepner, Rocky Marciano and Joe Fraser.
As soon as Sylvester Stallone wrote the scrip and managed to sold it take the leading role, he asked his play a small role. After that, Frank Stallone started to act in movies, but he liked to make music more.
He appeared in two “Rocky” sequels and got the main roles in such films as “Savage Harbor” and “Masque of the Red Death”. Additionally, frank played episodic roles in some popular projects such as “Hudson Hawk” and “Fred Klaus”.
